Video

Finest Teacher Ever: I wrote and recorded the audio for this video for DevPro, a flipped professional development initiative with Quebec’s English Provincial RECIT for Adult Education.

ICT is not the goal: I wrote and recorded the audio for this video for DevPro, a flipped professional development initiative with Quebec’s English Provincial RECIT for Adult Education.

Do you want to save time with assessment? : A video I created to explain how I use oral assessment in the classroom to save time and develop teacher/student relationships.

Research & Resources

Conversations for Ethical Decision Making (2005)
in which I present an action research process that was used to create a model for making difficult decisions about students within an ethic of care. I make ties between educational ethics and environmental and health science ethics.

Learni.st
My collection of learning boards at Learni.st cover topics such as the changing face of students, the importance of coding, and developing learning situations.

Adult Ed + Tech
A blog I began in order to prepare myself for working in Adult Education for the first time a little over a year ago. It then morphed into a resource site for some of the students and teachers I worked with, as well as others.

Ubuntu is not Scary
This is a blog I created about using Ubuntu as an alternative to Windows or Mac operating systems. It is both a blog and an evergreen guide to getting started with Ubuntu.

BJEC Resources / Ressources Pedagogiques
A wiki I started in 2006 as an education consultant with the Bronfman Jewish Education Centre. Some of the links are presently out of date as I no longer have access to the login information but I include it here as an example.

Sites for others

Experience MTL
I updated and did some redesign of the website for Experience Montreal, a yearly music festival produced by Greenland Productions. (2013)

My Own Blogs & Sites

I design the css and, in some cases, write the php code for my blogs. I generally begin with a WordPress theme that I like and modify things heavily from that starting point.

Francais.TracyRosen.com
A blog I created in 2010 when teaching Core French at an elementary school in Ontario. I have since posted some articles on French language teaching in general at the site.

AdultEd.TracyRosen.com
I created this blog when I applied for the position of technology consultant (RECIT) at the New Frontiers School Board in January 2012. I had never worked in the adult sector before then and used this as a way to get familiar with the programs and other issues.

Leading from the Heart
This is my main professional blog (you are here right now!) where I talk about learning through relationship and meaningful use of technology, amongst other topics.

Ubuntu is not Scary
This is a blog I created about using Ubuntu as an alternative to Windows or Mac operating systems. It is both a blog and an evergreen guide to getting started with Ubuntu.

Camping Out with Tracy & Jack
I started this blog while on maternity leave and I write about life with my son – lessons he teaches, the food we eat, the games we play.
