This is my first September in a rural school. In the city, one drop of rain means indoor recess. One drop of rain had the kids (and teachers :) heading indoors.

During recess today, it began to rain, The kids all continued playing as if nothing had changed: soccer games went uninterrupted, swings were still swinging, and boys were still chasing girls in the primary yard. As I went out to replace the teacher on duty she passed me her raincoat, “you may need this,” she remarked. I shrug it on and went out to watch the kids as they played in the rain.
